Safe Society works tirelessly with women to ensure access to vocational training, good health, leadership qualities and entrepreneurial opportunities. Through skill-building programs and mentorship, we aim to enhance their capabilities, boost their self-confidence, and promote economic independence. We also actively support them in becoming effective self-advocates

Shwet represents Lucknow chikankari premium products hand made with love by women artisans who work in self help groups. We make entrepreneurs full of leadership and self-confidence who further create employment for other women from slum and rural areas.

At present more than 500 women are associated with us and successfully earning livelihood for themselves.

Pahal assists society in creating a supportive environment for women mainly for menstrual health. The Sanchalikas are developed as a resource person at village level to assist other women in obtaining menstrual products, contraceptive, and reproduction-related needs. They also create awareness on MHM, SRHR, unsafe abortions, unwanted pregnancies.

After the lockdown the project was diverted in Schools and Colleges to share the knowledge of MHM with adolescent Girls and Boys

Our Approaches

Focus Group : 9-19 years youth

Description : Giving right information about puberty, menstruation and hygiene management at right age is of utmost importance specially for adolescents. The youth is prepared for the changes they are about to discover in their bodies. We explain and discuss the entire process using our inhouse interactive module in classrooms so that they are able to advocate for breaking the taboos stigma surrounding menstruation.

Focus Group : All Females 9 - 45 years

Description : We make Sanchalikas or the Pad Post in charge who act as a channel for dissemination of information about menstruation and related health issues among the society. They distribute Quality and sustainable menstrual materials and supportive materials.

Sanchalikas develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills

Out of school adolescent girls are given knowledge of Menstrual hygiene management.

Focus Group : PRIs – Sarpanch, Gram Pradhan, Panchayat Sarpanch

Description : We establish a collaborative structure with panchayat representatives and advocate over all MHM issues.
